So, where the world is going… development in technology, science, art, culture, medicine and with a one single aim that to develop the human civilization and the society. From the past the humans are developing themselves making themselves far more better then their ancestors. Industrial developments, great inventions, discoveries all this were meant to ease the life of a human being to bring about a change in the way of life of a person, to make life beautiful, and now we are at a revolutionary stage again where changes have started to take place again. By saying this i mean to differentiate the time when gadgets and inventions used to be bulky, the number of units produced used to be less and very expensive and only the rich and the economically well to do families had the ability to access those luxuries and to poor these luxuries were no more then a dream. Now the economic conditions have become better. Rising economy and technology have made the gadgets and other luxuries fit into our pockets. Now time has come to improve again. Now almost everyone keeps a mobile phone. But still some thing is left…Why not to make a mobile phone which can be flexible, waterproof and can do more then half of the task of a computer. Isn’t it great?
Yes, indeed its really fantastics and awesome. More and more development. The world has really become smaller. It will take a couple of hours for a person to visit some distant land. I must say it has become even more smaller because of Internet, we can call the world as cyber village. A person can talk to other person over Internet, Can make friends, can play games over it and can express his happiness and sadness over Internet. We have big machines to do the task of thousand of persons alone. We have bikes and cars to go somewhere.
Now again I am asking the same question – Isn’t it great? I know that many will answer in “Yes”.And if its yes then my question is – Why after so much development which have been done for the ease of the people and society there is so much of pain and agony? I read the news about the suicide attempt by Paris Jackson on the Internet. It was really painful and not only in this one case but the cases of others also. The suicide of Jiah Khan recently. The news of deaths of well known people by drug overdose and many other cases. Its not only about the celebrity, rich and famous but about the present generation and the present world. So, whats the cause for all this? Hmmm… people though they are developing, the relations are degrading at the same rate. The affection and the bonding which used to be earlier is not seen now a days.Lack of time to enjoy life, to be ourselves, and to let ourselves be free for sometime.
Because of the fast life of today’s world, people are unable to give quality time to their family and relatives. Social networking websites are making people addictive. Not only kids but adults are also becoming addictive to it. I don’t say not to use these sites. But a limited time should be given to it, say 1 hour. People are becoming so addicted to these sites and Internet games that they are not willing to go out. Kids are preferring to remain indoor most of the time. And this is affecting their emotional quotient and psychology also. They are preferring the the virtual world over the real world. Even for small walkable distances people are using bikes and cars, specially in the urban parts of the developing nations. Children of working/busy parents are becoming more and more prone to committing wrongful act because there was no one who can spend time with them to teach them moral values. More and more cases of depression are being registered these days. People are unable to handle pressure.
So, how can we say that these advancement have made the world a better place? Actually we can make it but in the race of this fast track life we are leaving many of the responsibilities behind. It is good if everything is in its limit even the use of nature, time or technology . Anything beyond its limit can cause heavy destruction, may be slow but big destruction.
What do you think..?
